Here you'll find book reviews, gardening tips, garden and travel photography, and approachable technology tips, along with ideas and discoveries that I hope will inform, inspire, and occasionally surprise you. Whether you're looking for your next great read, wondering what to plant, or trying to feel a little more confident with technology, this is a place to explore and have fun while learning something new.

I'm Pamela Lynne Kemp, and I love libraries, learning technology, and nature. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I now live in Charlotte, North Carolina. To learn more about her education, professional experience, and work in libraries, visit her LinkedIn profile.

My love of gardening has roots in North Carolina. My grandmother was a farmer's wife in North Carolina who always kept both a flower and a vegetable garden. When my mother moved to Philadelphia, she carried that love of gardening with her and eventually passed it on to me. She was also an elementary school teacher, and I inherited from her a love of inspiring others to learn, explore, and discover their own abilities.

Those influences are at the heart of The Gardening Librarian. I believe learning becomes more meaningful when we connect it to our passions. Gardening can lead us into science, history, food, art, and environmental stewardship. Books can transport us into other lives, places, and ideas. Technology can give us new ways to learn, create, communicate, and stay connected.

In 2027, I hope to expand The Gardening Librarian with a podcast featuring conversations with some of my friends in the gardening and literary worlds. Until then, I hope you'll explore the site, share what you're curious about, and come back often.

There's always something new to read, grow, learn, or discover.
